Description
The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources Manager and will participate in implementing human resources management strategies and developing HR procedures and tools.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Advise managers on laws, internal policies and HR management procedures;
• Develop and coordinate the annual performance program and train managers to optimize the process;
• Train managers in disciplinary measure procedures (verbal and written warnings, voluntary and involuntary resignations);
• Participate in developing various programs that will help mobilize personnel (surveys and others);
• Participate in managing internal HR management policies and implementing improvements for the procedures;
• Ensure internal communication;
• Host focus groups with employees;
• Provide help with the recruitment process and in the arrival of new employees;
• Participate in hiring events (depending on the request);
• Manage work permits and the arrival of foreign workers;
• Write various letters and keep reports updated;
• Participate in writing the internal newsletter;
• Assist the Human Resources Manager in various tasks.
Profile
• University training in human resources management.
• Three years’ experience as HR generalist.
• Good knowledge of office software included in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of labor laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and in English.
• Excellent judgment, independence and initiative – Thorough and professional.
• Able to manage several projects and priorities at once.
• Knowledge of the HR system (e.g. People@Work – ADP). (Asset)
