With the authority of the Board of Directors and in close collaboration with the Director of Administration and Finances, the incumbent will assume the role of Artistic and Pedagogical Director for all professional dance activities offered by the École supérieure. In this capacity, he or she will direct and conduct pedagogical services in accordance with the School’s mission and the mandate entrusted to it by its main donors. The successful candidate will be responsible for outreach initiatives and the international status of the school while fostering partnerships with the wider dance community in Quebec, Canada and around the world. He or she will also act as spokesperson for the School on all matters relating to arts and education.

REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive experience as a professional dancer with an internationally renowned company and / or as a dance instructor at the professional level. High availability, fully fluent in French and comfortable in English.

QUALIFICATIONS:
International calibre classical dance training (and / or) Education at the master’s and professorial level.

• Solid teaching strategies and techniques as well as learning assessment capabilities;
• Knowledge of management principles;
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills;

SALARY:
Annual salary will be determined by training and experience.
