Are you passionate about video games? Do you want to keep progressing in an exciting, young and dynamic environment? Gameloft is currently seeking an Online Game Programmer to work with a team of highly motivated programmers to develop, maintain and support multiplayer games Gameloft.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Programmer in all relevant technical languages (C/C++);
• Program and maintain multiplayer engines;
• Propose solutions to optimize the engine performance, flexibility, network robustness and bandwidth consumption.
• Write distributed test scripts
• Optimize as needed.
Skills
• Required: Strong C/C++ programming skills;
• Required: Networking experience in TCP/IP and UDP protocols
• Required: Distributed systems experience
• Required: Familiarity with implementing client/server architecture
• Required: Knowledge of network and server security issues
• Required: Knowledge of distributed system mechanics
• Required: Knowledge of networking protocols and patterns used by online games
• General requirements:
• Required: University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
• Required: Fluent in French and English;
• Important: Good organizational skills, ability to work alone or as part of a team;
• Important: 4 years experience;
• Asset: Prior development work on client/server game systems
• Asset: FPS / MMORPG gaming experience
• Asset: Experience in the video game industry;
• Asset: Good understanding of gaming consoles and their constraints;
Profile
• Fan of online multiplayer games;
• Ability to work alone and under pressure;
• Able to meet tight deadlines;
• Ability to optimize code size and speed to maximize the capabilities of each platform;
• Program in a methodical and structured manner;
• Strong personal interest in videogames and a solid understanding of the associated culture;
• Good communication skills;
